students during competition
One of the most important things you do for your students is to show them what’s possible….in your subject….in their lives….and in themselves. That’s why the University of North FLorida School of Engineering is inviting you to give your students a learning experience unlike any other through the nation’s premier academic competition, TEAMS.
Teams is a popular annual competition, coordianted by JETS – the national organization promoting engineering and technology to America’s youth – that challenges high school students (grades 9-12) in ways no other program does by engaging them in a math competition. Students work together as a team and answer questions about everyday real-world challenges.
The competition will take place on February 13, 2010 at the UNF Campus Science and Engineering Building 50. The event will start at 8:00 am and will conclude by 1:00 pm.
Register your team online at www.jet.org/teams and submit payment directly to JETS. The registration fee to participate is $200 for the first team and $150 for the each subsequent team.
We look forward to seeing you on competition day!

Have you looked into engineering?
Deciding what to be after high school isn’t easy, but exploring career options gives students information they need to make the right choice for their future. We invite you and your students to come and see what we have to offer at our Fall UNF School of Engineering Open House. This is a great opportunity to learn more about one of Northeast Florida’s best kept secrets—that a quality engineering education is available right here in Jacksonville at UNF!
